I am a trans-disciplinary artist, drag performer, and producer whose work spans multimedia art, self-portraiture, and performance. My practice explores themes of identity, transformation, and queer+ and trans+ phenomenology through a collage methodology. I create essays, sound design, and films for installations and performances, using makeup, costume, and projected imagery to delve into the symbolic and subconscious. My work tells stories and processes both individual and shared experiences of subculture, escapism, and otherness.

My background in concept drawing and fashion design has led to collaborations with stars like Lady Gaga, Bjork and Louis Vuitton with Warren Dupreez and Nick Thornton Jones, and Florence and the Machine, as well as brands such as MTV, and Selfridges. In 2013, I launched the EMG Initiative, repurposing fashion waste into high-end products to raise awareness of fast fashion’s environmental and human impact. I’ve continued to collaborate on social practice projects, working with LGBTQIA+ groups and tackling issues like social isolation through creative workshops and curated exhibitions.

In 2017, I relocated to Margate, where I focused on filmmaking, costume design, and further developing my academic and artistic practice. In 2021, I completed a Masters in Fine Art at ESADHaR and The Margate School, expanding my work into theory and photography whilst curating and producing the Margate Pride Art Map festival. I also hosted a monthly show on Margate Radio, exploring esoteric and mythological themes through sound. Additionally, I created Is A Drag, a local drag night in Margate for emerging drag artists to explore new work.

I was featured on the BBC’s Extraordinary Portraits series, and my work has been exhibited internationally and a selection of my artworks are represented by The Queer Archive. Now back in East London, I continue to explore new territories through long-form multidisciplinary performance as the drag performer and musician Pretzel Cage.

Alongside my artistic pursuits, I work freelance as an artist, designer, and producer in the arts, heritage, and creative industries. Currently working with the Museum of Transology.
