With over twenty years of experience across the creative industries, Lo Lo No Studio brings a unique perspective as a gender-diverse creative force with a background in Fashion (BA) and Fine Art (MA). Over the past decade, we’ve worked in ethical fashion (EMG, TRAID, Fashion Revolution), LGBTQIA+ programming (Margate Pride, Museum of Transology), and alternative education (Open School East, plus numerous workshops and facilitation projects).
The studio is perfectly placed to consult on design and development, inclusive practices, organisational structures, sustainability, cultural programming, visual language, communications, and developing best practices for teams, groups, and individuals.
Crate Space
In 2022, Crate Space and Studios began a process of deep reflection—re-evaluating their role in the local community, how they use their building, their organisational structure, and the direction of their programme. Key questions included: Who are we now? How do we champion and sustain diversity and sustainability? How can we continuously interrogate and transform as an organisation within a shifting cultural and political landscape, while staying rooted in our core values? And—are those core values still the same as when we began?
Lo Lo No Studio was invited to lead a two-week residency titled Model for Change. Through arts-based research, creative methodologies, and quantitative data gathering, the studio worked to surface multiple perspectives, facilitate open dialogue, and propose a new organisational structure aligned with Crate’s evolving identity.
AiRM (Arts in Romney Marsh)
From 2022 to 2024, Lo Lo No Studio served as a trustee for the Romney Marsh Arts Festival, consulting on artist selection processes, accessibility strategy, and inclusive language. The studio supported the festival’s commitment to engaging wider audiences and embedding equity at every level of its programme.
Future Foundry
Lo Lo No Studio provided trans and non-binary inclusion consultancy for Future Foundry, a Dover-based community arts organisation, during the launch of their new venue. This included reviewing language, space use, and internal practices to support a more inclusive and welcoming environment.
Space Gender – Prick Image
Commissioned as a consultant on inclusive language, representation, and diversity for Space Gender—an interactive touring installation by Prick Image. Lo Lo No Studio advised on content, engagement strategy, and access, supporting the project’s aim to challenge gender binaries and expand public dialogue.
